About HelperHoeve
HelperHoeve was created from a simple idea: kitchen gardening should be clear, feasible and fun. My name is Harrie Vermeulen and I work daily with what really works in Dutch gardens, from small city gardens to larger vegetable gardens.
On this website you will find practical explanations without noise. No complicated jargon, but concrete steps for sowing, caring, protecting and harvesting. I share what goes well, but also what can go wrong, so that you see results faster and can continue with more confidence.
The content is structured around seasons and local circumstances. Think of wet periods, cold nights, differences in soil types and smart planning for limited space. This means that the advice is more in line with your reality instead of an ideal picture.
HelperHoeve is also a place for exchange. Through social media you can ask questions, share experiences and discover new ideas. In this way we help each other step by step to garden more sustainably, calmly and more successfully.
